Royal Buzz: Britain's Royal Family to Tour the Globe in 2012

Here's a fun tidbit for royal watchers: The News Republic is reporting that Britain's royal family will tour the globe to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's diamond jubilee next year.

One of the biggest trips will reportedly be the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's visit to Malaysia, Singapore, the Solomon Islands and Tuvalu. (We have to wonder: Where will they spend their first wedding anniversary?)

That last visit has some significant precedence: When the queen and her husband the Duke of Edinburgh toured Tuvalu in 1982, they were carried shoulder-high by islanders into the capital before climbing into canoes.

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall will go to Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. Prince Harry will tour Belize, Jamaica and the Bahamas.

The queen will turn 86 in April and the duke 91 in June. Both will be traveling in the UK throughout the year.
