Six Instagram Worthy Locations in NYC

It’s no secret that NYC gives visitors some of the most Instagram-worthy photo ops of any location in the world. But with many of the city’s most popular locations becoming so crowded, it can be hard to get the shot you want. This year, head to some these spots to get the selfie you’ve always wanted. We’ve got the low-down on some of the newest, most Insta-worthy locations in Manhattan you won’t want to miss.

First, heat things up next to Marmara Park Avenue’s 14-foot fire place. Sip fireside cocktails and nosh on lite bites in the luxurious lobby at Marmara Park Avenue. Celebs like Lisa Vanderpump from the television show Real Housewives of Beverly Hills have been seen enjoying the lobby’s hand-blown glass décor and vestibule, handcrafted from more than 670 pieces of faceted steel. Bonus: The natural glow of the fire will give you the perfect light for your selfie.

Head north and visit the rooftop at The Knickerbocker Hotel. The St. Cloud Rooftop at this Leading Hotels of the World member property features both indoor and outdoor seating, plus heat lamps to keep you warm in the winter. Snap a pic with the Times Square New Year’s Ball to really make your trip to NYC official.

Another place to be seen in the likes of celebrities galore is The Jane Ballroom at The Jane Hotel in the West Village. Recently, celebs like Harry Styles and the Olsen twins have been seen grabbing a drink and sharing a laugh in the iconic venue. If you don’t want to bother any well-known names, the ballroom’s vintage disco ball is always worth a good picture.

Grab a sweet treat at the Mah-Ze-Dahr Bakery. You might be thinking, “what’s so cool about a bakery?” but at this sweet shoppe, you’ve got to go inside for the goods. The bakery’s bathroom offers a wall-covering mirror and some great overhead lighting, ideal for any picture. Go retro and snag a mirror-pic with your BFF, and use the bathroom’s iconic script-lined walls as your backdrop. We promise it’s clean.

Book a room at The Maritime Hotel and take a nautical shot with the rooms’ signature porthole windows. Boasting a view overlooking Ninth Ave and the city skyline, we’re not sure an Instagram will do the image justice. The nautical themed landmark also has a variety of connections with local dining hot-spots, like La Sirena and TAO Downtown, both of which are high-profile, see and be seen photo opportunities.

End your stay in Brooklyn. We promise that a trip out of the city will be worth it thanks to the cool Lobby Bar at The Williamsburg Hotel. The newly opened hotel is welcoming guests of the neighborhood this month for a preview of its cocktail menu. Grab a drink and picture, or spend the night and grab a bite at a gluten-lovers breakfast, featuring muffins, breads and pretzels made with fresh mill flour by Executive Chef Adam Leonti. Sorry, gluten-free friends, this one’s not for you.
