Trekkies fleeing Tribbles will soon have a place to call their own. We hear from Cnet.com that King Abdullah II of Jordan (a royal Trekkie, indeed), has okayed the construction of a $1.5 billion dollar Star Trek-themed resort in Jordan.
The resort will be part of a larger development, the Red Sea Astrarium at the port of Aqaba, according to Cnet, and will take up approximately 184 acres.
What is a Star Trek resort without some extremely "out-of-this-world" attractions? The draws of the resort will be based on the 2009 movie, including multi-sensory 23rd century experiences.
