Think you can’t experience winter in Tuscany? Think again. The JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa is hosting a Winter Wonderland Weekend during which they will transform the resort into – you guessed it – a winter wonderland using more than 60 tons of snow.
From Friday, December 16 to Sunday, December 18, guests at the resort can enjoy sledding down Snow Hill, playing games with Santa’s elves, snowball fights and an LED light party. At 8:00 p.m. Friday, families won’t want to miss the countdown to the 30-foot tree lighting, followed by a fireworks display, on the resort’s Meecha Lawn.
Saturday welcomes the arrival of Santa – by helicopter – on the resort’s Tash Lawn. Spend the day watching the Duck Derby through the Starr Canyon River, making gingerbread houses, decorating cookies and more. Insider tip: take your little one to ride the Polar Express Train, which will be running throughout the day or for a ride on the resort’s Horse Carousel.
Conclude the weekend on Sunday morning with breakfast with Santa, before heading to his send-off party in the lobby between 12 and 1 p.m. Bring your camera to snap your holiday card photo!
The Winter Wonderland Weekend won’t be complete without the kid’s Elf Tuck-in Service, which sends the little ones to bed with a plush toy gift and a bedtime snack, including cookies and hot cocoa or apple cider.
Rates for the Winter Wonderland package include deluxe accommodations and a $50 or $100 daily resort credit, based on the package booked. Resort credits can be used towards Breakfast with Santa and other Winter Wonderland Activities, in addition to retail purchases and other on-site amenities.
