Tech Buzz: New iPad May Debut in February

If you use an iPad in your office, or want to send a really over-the-top gift to tech-savvy clients, we've got good news for you: The New York Post is reporting that Apple’s next iPad may hit stores sooner than expected.

The iPad 3 could be released as soon as February, possibly on February 23, the day before what would have been founder Steve Jobs’ 57th birthday. Earlier estimates had suggested a release date of March or April.

What to look out for: The new iPad will have what the company calls a “Retina Display,” and the screen will have twice the resolution of current iPads, according to Citigroup analyst Richard Gardner.
