All eyes are on Greece in the current debt crisis. On June 30, The New York Times reported that tourism remains steady despite the closure of national banks. Travel agents like Menelaos Karvounidis, an American Express travel destination expert, are quoted saying that travelers have not canceled their vacation plans.

If you are planning to take a trip to Greece this summer, here’s something to add to your radar: the first ever Buddha Bar Beach has opened at the Santa Marina Hotel in Mykonos. Part of Starwood’s Luxury Collection, the hotel is known for its exclusive white sandy beach edged by the turquoise Mediterranean. Buddha Bar Beach promises to become one of the island’s happening hot spots, with cocktails by head mixologist Matthias Giroud, fresh seafood prepared by Eric Rousselières, and of course an excellent soundtrack. Resident DJ Dimi.el spins a mix of chill-out and electronica music.

For a twist on an Aperol Spritz, try the South Spritz- which includes fresh grapes, grapefruit, and white port. The beachfront location means the views are fabulous.
