Traveling Gourmet: Hotel Bel-Air Reopens With Foodie Flair

Calling all fine foodies: The Dorchester Collection's Hotel Bel-Air is scheduled to reopen this fall, two years after it was closed for a major overhaul. Why should you care? Chef Wolfgang Puck and his restaurant group, the Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group, has been called in to oversee all the food and beverage operations.

Chef Puck will insert his expertise into the restaurant and bar, room service, catering and events and the garden terrace. We hear the restaurant will be called Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel-Air and will serve up modern Cali cuisine with European and Mediterranean influences.

The bar has been extend into the outdoors. Nice touch: Three 'garden niches' have been incorporated into the design.
