Vana, Malsi Estate in India

Imagine a wellness retreat that combines yoga, ayurveda, spa treatments, and lovely guest rooms in one of the most beautiful spots on earth: the foothills of the Himalayas. Such a place will soon exist, when Vana, Malsi Estate opens in Dehradun, India in January 2014. Located on a 21-acre estate dotted with mango and lychee orchards, the retreat is contemporary in design, emphasizing the natural beauty of the surrounding scenery. On-site herb and vegetable gardens will provide ingredients for the restaurant’s cuisine.

The spa itself is a sprawling space that encompasses lots of treatments rooms, heated outdoor and indoor pools, a state-of-the-art gym, yoga studios, a private watsu pool, and two changing rooms with heat and wet areas. At Vana, wellness is an all-encompassing term including good food, relaxation, music, art, outdoor fitness, and conversation. Each guest can personalize their program with on-site wellness consultants (like ayurvedic doctors and nutritionists).
