W Hotel French Quarter Undergoes $9 Million Makeover

W French Quarter, New Orleans

Come summer, the W French Quarter in New Orleans will unveil a redesign of its guest rooms, Living Room, restaurant, and bar. In fact, the first floor of guest rooms have already emerged from their makeover, showcasing two distinct design concepts. The inspiration? Jazz and Tarot. Think a black and white palette with punches of gold. Here’s the skinny on the 97 guest rooms: Wonderful Rooms have signature W beds and Bliss lemon + sage Sinkside Six products; Spectacular Rooms have a balcony or patio overlooking the courtyard; Fantastic Rooms, a larger category, have views of the courtyard or historic French Quarter; Carriage Houses are accessed by a private entrance from the courtyard, and come with a private Jacuzzi on the back patio and a balcony with a sitting area opening onto the courtyard.

As part of the makeover, the W will add a SWEAT fitness facility with Technogym equipment. Personal trainers will be available to customize work-outs. SoBou-- the new restaurant and bar-- will serve creative cocktails and small plates emphasizing modern Creole flavors and local ingredients. There will also be a self-serve wine dispensing machine and a beer garden.

The hotel also announced a new package giveaway on Facebook: www.facebook.com/wfrenchquarter. The W Hotel French Quarter is located at 316 Chartres Street in New Orleans. For more information, visit www.wfrenchquarter.com.
