Eco-Friendly Travel in Jamaica at The Tryall Club

The Tryall Club is an estate-style resort with more than 75 villa homes located on 2,200 acres. The resort is located near Montego Bay, Jamaica and has been named the 2016 award recipient for the Environmental Sustainability by the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association.

The Tryall Club was selected as the winner due to its dedication to local foundations. The club has also helped the island by providing volunteer opportunities for guests, working on waste reduction and practicing resort conservation.

A panel of judges made up of industry professionals reviewed all the nominations, which was open to more than 600 member hotels in 27 countries. The Environmental Sustainability award was ultimately judged on the resort’s approach, its application and the results.

Once a sugar plantation, The Tryall Club villas range from one to 10 bedrooms. There is also an 18-hole golf course, nine tennis courts, a private beach, kayaking and more.
