Elewana Collection, the luxury safari operator, plans to debut the Loisaba Tented Camp in March 2016 in Kenya. The camp will open with support from the Loisaba Conservancy and The Nature Conservancy, Space for Giants and The Northern Rangelands Trust, which resulted in the largest single conservation investment in East Africa 2014 and 2015. The tented camp will open on the former site of Loisaba Lodge.

We hear that the new camp will have four double rooms, one deluxe tented suite and two family tents, which will include two double en-suite tents with shared verandas. For larger families, there will also be a family residence with three en-suite rooms with a private lounge, dining tent and private pool.

The other guests, not staying in the family residence, will be happy to learn that another pool, an infinity swimming pool, with have spectacular views across the Laikipia Plains to Mount Kenya. Need more views? Mount Kenya and the plains will also be seen from the rooms.

We think those seeking elephant sightings will want to stay here. The Loisaba Conservancy is a 56,000-acre sanctuary with more than 700 elephants, making it the place for elephant-lovers.
