First Look: Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi Opens Royal Suite

Abu Dhabi just got a bit nicer: The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi Grand Canal has opened a new Royal Suite, and we say it's a top pick when visiting the nascent hotel.

Want to look out over Abu Dhabi’s historic Al Maqta area? No problem: This suite has panoramic views. Want privacy? It takes up the full top floor of one of the luxury hotel’s Venetian-inspired buildings. Even better, the 2,700-square-foot suite also has an adjacent security room (making it ideal for VIPs and government travelers), butler quarters, two bedrooms and living and dining rooms. The dining area can accommodate up to ten guests and connects to a kitchenette for easy meals.

The master bedroom's balcony overlooks the hotel's gardens and a sandy beach. And then there's the bathroom: It has a color therapy rain shower combining water, color and light features for the ultimate relaxation experience.

If the Royal Suite isn't available, guests at the 57-acre waterfront luxury hotel can also book one of the 85 private villas or the four Ritz-Carlton Suites.
