First Look: Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills Announced for 2017

Los Angeles' luxury hotel scene is set to get a bit swankier in 2017 when Hilton opens the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills. Located right next door to The Beverly Hilton (home of the annual Golden Globes broadcast and other large-scale events) on the corner of Wilshire and Santa Monica Boulevards in Beverly Hills, the 12-story, 170-room luxury hotel will be the brand’s first new-build on the West Coast. Currently, the portfolio has 24 hotels and resorts.

The nine-acre property will include the new hotel, the existing Beverly Hilton and the upcoming Waldorf Astoria Residences.

For business travelers, the hotel will also have approximately 6,300 square feet of indoor meeting and special events space, and a ground-level outdoor dining terrace and flexible outdoor venues. (It would not be unreasonable to expect that large-scale events could be held in tandem with the Beverly Hilton's 60,000 square feet of lobby-level event space.)

Each of the 170 guest rooms (including 128 deluxe rooms and 42 suites) will have top views from floor-to-ceiling windows that open onto oversized private balconies. On the third level, the Villa Suites will open onto manicured private garden terraces. We hear that personal concierges will be available.

The rooftop pool deck will reportedly be the largest rooftop destination of its kind in Beverly Hills and will include landscaping, VIP cabanas, lounge areas and a swimming pool specifically for hotel guests. A spa is also in the works along with dining and retail options (Graff Diamonds will reportedly have a store on-site).
