Heading to Switzerland? Looking for a place to meet up with a VIP? Keep this hotel in mind: The Dolder Grand in Zurich is adding new elements to the property to appeal to extended-stay guests and meeting clientele alike. In August, the hotel will unveil the Terrazza Suite, a new category of residences, as well as the Gallery Lounges, a trio of flexible meeting spaces.
Located next to the Resort's Golf Wing, the Terrazza Suite will have three bedrooms and 1,280-square-feet of living space on two levels. Guests will have access to the suite via private entrance from the street, or from the hotel.
On the suite's lower level (reached via glass elevator), the open living room has a dining area with a bar and floor-to-ceiling windows. The three-bedroom suite will be equipped with bathrooms in each room, and a terrace will have top views of Lake Zurich. Reached via walk-through wardrobe, the master bathroom will have a steam shower and whirlpool tub.
Three new Gallery Lounges will be located in a terraced area in the hotel. With a lobby serving as a reception area, the lounges will be combinable for a total area of 3,700-square feet. Each room will have access to a terrace with a lawn and south-facing views. Inside, floor-to-ceiling windows will provide a bright ambiance, and various seating arrangements will be available including a living room-style atmosphere with lounge furniture and classic conference décor.
Bonus: Planners can book events in the Lounges now for a special opening offer and receive a 15 percent discount on fixed seminar rate or the Banquets Dinner Selection when booking the Gallery in combination with the Gallery Lounges.
