Great Hotels of the World Welcomes New Members

Great Hotels of the World, the London-based hotel sales and marketing alliance, has announced that it acquired five new member properties to its collection. The Great Hotels of the World Luxury Collection now includes: Royal Garden Villas & Spa, Tenerife in Spain; Chatrium Hotel Riverside Bangkok in Thailand; Dom Pedro Golf Resort, Vilamoura in Portugal; Grand Hotel Bernardin, Portorož in Slovenia; and Hotel Gray d'Albion, Cannes in France.

Situated in the region of Costa Adeje in Southern Tenerife in Spain, Royal Garden Villas & Spa is a five-star resort overlooking the golf course and boasting views. The hotel comprises 28 one-, two- and three-bedroomed villas, each with their own terrace and solar heated pool. The property’s Golden Pond Spa has been described as a Thai temple of wellbeing, boasting wood, stone and sculptures to recreate an Asian atmosphere. The spa contains an indoor thermal circuit with Jacuzzi, waterfall, waterbeds and Turkish bath, hydromassage showers, ice fountain and a separate lounge for treatments. The property also has a gym, Tucán Tucán Pub and Jardín Restaurant.

Located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, with the cultural and historical attractions of Bangkok on its doorstep, Chatrium Hotel Riverside Bangkok offers 396 rooms and suites with balconies, floor-to-ceiling windows and views of the river and cityscape. The property offers a complimentary shuttle boat to and from Sathorn Pier for its guests. The hotel boasts three restaurants: River Barge, Silver Waves, and Pier 28.

 

Located in Vilamoura, Dom Pedro Golf Resort is just 100 yards from the beach, 50 yards from the casino and 200 yards from the cosmopolitan marina. The resort offers 266 rooms, most with balconies overlooking the garden or the sea. A range of facilities and activities can be enjoyed, including multiple swimming pools, and tennis and volleyball courts onsite. Dom Pedro Golf Resort also features a spa with an indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, gym and treatment rooms. There are four restaurants and two bars.

Situated between Piran and Portorož in Slovenia, Grand Hotel Bernardin is a five-star property overlooking its own beach and the Adriatic Sea. Grand Hotel Bernardin features 241 bedrooms with balconies overlooking the sea. It also serves as the largest convention center in Slovenia. The hotel also has the Paradise Spa Wellness Centre; and two restaurants, two bars and a covered terrace overlooking the sea.

Situated between the seafront and main shopping area of Cannes is the luxury Hôtel Gray d’Albion, a hotel consisting of 199 rooms and suites. The hotel features two restaurants, 38 The Place, a fine-dining á la carte restaurant and the hotel’s Private Beach Restaurant, which serves Mediterranean cuisine and Lebanese dishes. Furthermore, the hotel contains eight meeting rooms, which are all within one level, accommodating up to 200 delegates.
