Graham Copeman has departed The Goring (where he had been first hotel manager and then GM) to become managing director of the St James’s Hotel and Club, Park Place, London. Following positions at The Lanesborough, Copeman also worked at One Aldwych, Covent Garden, where he helped launch the hotel, working there for four years before joining Claridge’s as House Manager in 2002.

Mandarin Oriental Milan opens in April in four 19th-century buildings near La Scala opera house and the renowned Via della Spiga shopping street. Luca Finardi is the GM; he’s previously been GM for Royaldemeure Spa Hotels; Hotel Savoy and Villa San Michele in Florence; and Hotel Timeo & Villa Sant’Andrea in Sicily. The hotel will have a restaurant under the helm of Michelin two-starred Chef Antonio Guida and a six-room spa.

Seabourn is getting another new ship, a sister vessel to the one announced earlier this year. The first ship is scheduled for delivery in late 2016; the second ship in spring, 2018. They’ll be based on the Seabourn Odyssey-class ships, with one additional deck and new expanded public areas.
