Starwood is making a new venture in Jordan, with the debut of the country's first St. Regis hotel. We hear that The St. Regis Amman and The Residences at St. Regis Amman is slated to become a landmark in the Amman's wealthy Abdoun district when it opens its doors in 2014.
This will be one of five St. Regis properties to open in the Middle East. Other destinations include Doha, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, where there will be two properties.
The St. Regis Amman will show off 270 guest rooms, including 91 suites, four restaurants, a cafe, destination bar, pool and pool bar, fitness center, signature spa and, of course, the St. Regis signature butler service.
