Hotel Indigo Tel Aviv Opens in Israeli City's Diamond District

Tel Aviv just got a bit cooler since InterContinental Hotels Group opened the Hotel Indigo Tel Aviv – Diamond District. The hotel marks the debut of IHG’s boutique brand in Israel.

The hotel lives up to its name, too, we hear, with design details inspired by the gemstone. (Think murals all throughout the property.) There's also the diamond-inspired Clarity Spa, a sundeck and a rooftop glass swimming pool. The French-Mediterranean restaurant Blackstone Bistro & Lounge (named after the original, raw formation of a diamond) serves locally sourced food and drink and is open to locals as well as guests. Bonus: Free Wi-Fi access is available throughout the hotel so guests can keep up to date online or relax with their own music selection in the iPod docking station.

The Hotel Indigo is located close to Israel’s tallest building, The Moshe Aviv Tower, the Diamond Tower, which contains the world’s largest diamond trading floor. There's also the Diamond museum, which gives visitors an insight into the cut, color, clarity and carat of diamonds, and the knowledge to trace a gem’s journey from rock face to ring.

Good to know: There are currently 11 Hotel Indigo properties in Europe, with 14 more in the pipeline for the next three-to-five years.
