The Oetker Collection has announced that Hotel Saint-Barth Isle de France is now part of its collection of Masterpiece Hotels. The property has been described as a “one-of-a-kind hotel reflecting the unique European heritage of the collection, combined with the charm of the French West Indies.” It is located on Flamands Bay.
Set in tropical gardens overlooking the sea, the 39 rooms, suites and villas are individually decorated by UK designer Penny Morrison. Vintage French fabrics and sheer linens in natural tones complement the use of indigenous colors of Saint-Barthélemy. An investment program this autumn will see 12 garden bungalows entirely renovated as well as the renewal of the public areas in the main building and reception. La case de l'Isle, the resort’s signature restaurant overlooking Flamands Bay, will also benefit from a new décor.
The Oetker Collection includes Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in Baden-Baden, Le Bristol Paris on the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc on the Mediterranean at the tip of the Cap d’Antibes, Château Saint-Martin & Spa in Vence of the French Riviera, Palais Namaskar in Marrakech in Morocco, and Hotel Saint-Barth Isle de France in Flamands Bay.
