1 Hotel & Homes Elounda Hills will be the newest sustainable property for 1 Hotels, slated to open on the Greek island of Crete in summer 2025.
Located on Crete's northeast coast, the resort will be surrounded by Elounda Hills and rugged coastline of Mirabello Bay. Mirum Hellas will develop the property, while SH Hotels & Resorts will operate it upon opening.
1 Hotel & Homes Elounda Hills will aim to embody “a hillside village, vivacious metropolis, and natural oasis,” according to 1 Hotels’ press release. The design will use sustainably sourced natural materials. There will be 135 hotel rooms and 178 branded residences and villas (to be developed in phases) offering both mountain and seascape views.
Guest of the resort can expect several swimming pools, outdoor leisure facilities and winding paths leading to the sandy beaches and warm Mediterranean waters. Premium room offerings include exclusive access to a dedicated marina and beach club. Wellness-seekers will be pleased to know there will be a therapeutic spa, while the dining outlets will serve “reinvigorating”
1 Hotels launched in 2015 with the opening of properties in Miami's South beach and along Manhattan's Central Park, followed by Brooklyn, located on the East River, in February 2017, West Hollywood, on Sunset Boulevard, in June 2019, and Sanya (China) in 2020.
