Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria in Sorrento, Italy, might just be the place to catch some sun this fall or to celebrate the holidays (book now). Luxury Travel Advisor suggests guests stay in one of the signature suites, which we just got a glimpse of. A few of our favorites include the Suite Enrico Caruso, Suite Lucio Dalla and the Royal Suite. Nice Touch: Every room is styled differently.

Caruso Suite is named after the famous tenor Enrico Caruso, who stayed there in 1921.For a taste of history, book the Caruso Suite on the fourth floor, which is kept in the same style as when the famous tenor stayed there in 1921. The suite is home to Caruso’s piano, writing board, letters and photographs and has a fabulous, iconic 1920s vibe.

For more contemporary interiors, book the Dalla Suite, which also has a piano and pays homage to the Italian singer and songwriter. Both the Caruso and Dalla suites have terraces facing the Bay of Naples. To truly enjoy the sea breeze, book the Royal Suite. This accommodation provides VIPs with a massive terrace — spread across more than 1,600 square feet. Note: When booking for the festive season, don’t forget to request an in-room holiday dinner and even a Christmas tree.

Dining in Terrazza Bosquet, the hotel’s Michelin-rated restaurant? We suggest the Eggplant Parmigiana, a regional specialty. In the evenings, sip bubbly at the Champagne Bar or explore Piazza Tasso, Sorrento’s buzzing main square. Good to know: The hotel is close to cafés, markets and winding streets to explore, but with five acres of gardens, it’s also the perfect hidden oasis, and oh, those water views.
