A Pair of Chic Caribbean All-Inclusives You Must Visit

If it’s a new, swanky, all-inclusive resort on a beautiful Caribbean beach that your guests are looking for, Luxury Travel Advisor has two for you.

From a new sister property in Anguilla to a reintroduced all-inclusive in Negril, Jamaica, we highlight all the selling points of these trendy Caribbean resorts.

Serenity at Coconut Bay

One of Luxury Travel Advisor’s favorite four-star all-inclusives in St. Lucia just got a five-star sister resort.

All suites at the Serenity at Coconut Bay, the new neighbor of Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa, have plunge pools, custom-made mahogany king beds, soaking tubs and separate rain showers in en-suite bathrooms.

In addition to butler services, amenities include in-suite gourmet dining and 24-hour room service, fully stocked and personalized wet bars, private in-suite check-in and check-out, Bose entertainment centers, Molton Brown toiletries and complimentary Wi-Fi.

The best overall suites at the resort are the Grande Plunge Pool Butler Suites. The 1,900-square-foot corner suites come with a patio deck, a plunge pool with a waterfall, an outdoor shower, a gazebo and a lounge area with a fully stocked, wraparound wet bar.

Additionally, while the large furnished living area boasts a 55-inch flat-screen TV, the four-poster mahogany bed houses a rise-up 42-inch flat-screen TV for pampered bedtime viewing experience.

Serenity at Coconut Bay’s Grande Plunge Pool Butler Suite’s living room has a 55-inch HDTV. There is also a 42-inch rise-up flat-screen TV in the bedroom.

Nice Touch: The lavish, en-suite bathroom is outfitted with an oversized soaking tub and walk-in rain shower for the benefit of guests seeking a spa experience. Guests will be pampered with attentive butler services and 24-hour room service. Hint: All of the resort’s 36 plunge pool suites include private butler service.

For other room enquiries, reach out to Trish Korzeniowski ([email protected]), director of sales.

Although each of the 36 butler suites has its own plunge pool, it’s worth telling guests to take a plunge in Serenity’s main pool, which is a 3,000-square-foot pool with a 1,000-square-foot lap pool at its center.

The two-tier design makes space for 24 in-water loungers, which frame the lap pool, while private Pool Cabanas and aqua circle beds also make for great relaxation spots. In the distance, guests can see Saint Lucia’s Maria Islands Nature Reserve. Note: The pool and the entire 36-suite resort can be taken over for private events.

For spa lovers, most Serenity guests prefer to choose from a selection of in-suite spa treatments. Tip: Should guests prefer treatments from an actual spa facility, the oceanfront spa at sister resort, Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa, has therapies in six air-conditioned treatment rooms complete with private showers or three private beachfront cabanas.

The Grande Plunge Pool Butler Suite has a patio lounge area and a fully stocked, wrap-around wet bar.

The 11,000-square-foot facility also houses two saunas, two steam rooms, a relaxation lounge, a changing room and lockers in addition to a full-service hair and beauty salon. Tip: Spa services can be booked upon arrival by a Serenity butler.

Hint: The most popular treatment here is the Chocolate Scrub, in which guests enjoy the benefits of natural, locally grown St. Lucian chocolate. As part of the scrub, coconut milk is massaged into the entire body, leaving the skin nourished and smooth for a luxurious finishing touch.

There are also many spa options available at the hotel for wedding parties, including in-suite treatments and spa buyout.

At the oceanfront spa, packages include the Bridal Party Pre-Wedding Package and the Bridal Party Salon Package available for groups of 10 or more. For the couples, there are the Beautiful Bride and Gallant Groom Salon Packages and a Happy Couple Package.

For all other spa enquiries, connect with Julia Leone ([email protected]), spa director.

As far as dining goes, the 10-seat Chef’s Table at The Greathouse at Serenity is a must-visit. It celebrates the cuisine of St. Lucia and is prepared by popular local chef Aunty Debbie.

The Greathouse at Serenity allows guests to dine outdoors with views of the pool.

Served in a private dining room, this tasty meal highlights the bounty of the island with the diner’s choice of chicken, fish and beef served alongside dishes incorporating breadfruit, pumpkin, okra, eggplant and sweet potato.

Hint: Each Serenity guest is guaranteed a reservation at the resort’s The Greathouse restaurant or at one of the nine restaurants at sister property, Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa — where offerings range from Caribbean to Asian to Italian cuisine. Note: None of Serenity’s restaurants are open to locals.

For golf enthusiasts, the St. Lucia Golf Club is located on the northern tip of the island. This par-71, 18-hole championship course is 6,829 yards of green slopes and has a USGA rating of 74.3, taking well into account the strong winds, numerous water hazards, fast greens and 16 out-of-bounds. To put it simply, this is not a beginner’s course.

Note: The transfers to and from Hewanorra International Airport, which is about a five-minute drive from the resort, are included in a guest’s stay at Serenity.

Azul Beach Resort Sensatori Jamaica by Karisma

Karisma Hotels & Resorts has reintroduced the new Azul Beach Resort Sensatori Jamaica by Karisma, which was the first Karisma property to be opened in the Caribbean several years ago but has since been completely renovated.

With this renovation, the expansive luxury beachfront property has added 149 new premium luxury suites as well as several “Gourmet Inclusive” restaurants and bars.

Azul Beach Sensatori’s Palms restaurant serves world cuisine and has an open-kitchen environment with interactive cooking stations.

In 2013, Karisma Hotels & Resorts acquired land in Negril in what was formerly Beaches Sandy Bay. Azul Beach Resort Sensatori Jamaica by Karisma was practically a new build as $20 million was invested into completely gutting the property and redoing just about everything except for the basic shell of the buildings.

Located on Negril’s Seven Mile Beach, all room types at the resort afford views of the ocean and many have private swim-ups. Other highlights include the Premium Ocean View Honeymoon Suite, as well as the Presidential Studio with private butler service.

For all room enquiries, reach out to Kemar Kerr ([email protected]), chief concierge.

For spa lovers, the hotel’s Vassa Spa has more than 9,400 square feet of treatment and relaxation areas inspired by a Zen ambiance. It has nine luxurious treatment suites, including the signature Kids Suite, offering Perfectly Pink Spa treatments to young female visitors, a Couples Suite, a Master Suite and a Bridal Suite. Vassa Spa also comprises a boutique, a beauty salon and hydrotherapy facilities.

Azul Sensatori’s Swim Up Ocean View Deluxe rooms open up to a lazy river pool that winds its way right to the back door.

Nice Touch: For those looking for an al fresco experience, Vassa Spa also offers Sky Massages in the hotel’s elevated deck area overlooking the serene Caribbean Sea. Note: It is recommended that advisors book a guest’s treatment one week prior to arrival. However, should there be changes to their treatment options, guests can make the necessary changes with their personal concierge upon arrival.

For all other spa enquiries, connect with Shanica Heron ([email protected]), spa receptionist.

Hint: A guest can land their private helicopter at the Negril Aerodrome for a landing fee. Tip: It is, however, noted that there is no fuel available for refill at this location.

Azul Sensatori’s Ocean View Family Suite has a living area with a sofa bed.

The Negril Aerodrome is roughly three minutes from the hotel. Note: The private jet services provided at this location are TimAir and Air Link for domestic flights only. For all international flights, the closest airport is the Sangster International Airport (MBJ), which is about 90 minutes away.

Guests of Azul Beach Sensatori have access to a total of nine Gourmet Inclusive restaurants to choose from, as well as nine bars and lounges. Nice Touch: All restaurants are oceanfront. Only two of the hotels restaurants, Di Romagna and Hua Hin, require a reservation. For exclusivity, the best option is a private candlelit dinner on the beach.
