Aman's New Atma Event Brand to Launch First Experience

Aman will launch the first in a series of encounters and experiences under its new event brand: Atma. The brand’s inaugural event will take place in Venice on March 1, 2019, with a night of revelry, the "Carnevale del Futuro."

The prelude to the evening begins with a dinner at Aman Venice, representing a shared celebration of life and paying homage to the city’s annual carnival. Hosting just over 100 guests, the Palazzo Dinner will feature a live performance by multiplatinum-selling British pianist and vocalist Jamie Cullum.

Bringing his jazz-touched vocals to Aman Venice for this special event, Jamie Cullum will entertain a private audience with his crossover blend of jazz and modern rock. This live performance and aperitivo will be followed by a dinner, after which guests will be transported by boat to the Arsenale di Venezia, a cluster of former shipyards and armories.

Inspired by the Carnevale di Venezia, Atma flips the focus from the present to what lies ahead with “Carnevale del Futuro,” designed to escort guests into a time-shifted universe.

Entertainment on the night will include award-winning, Berlin-based house DJ and producer Dixon, Brooklyn DJs and producers Bedouin, and the curiosity and musical experimentation of Peggy Gou. Voted "Best DJ in the World" four years in a row, Dixon will bring the electronic sound that led to “Innervisions” selling out London’s Royal Albert Hall last September. Joining him are Bedouin, formed by Rami Abousabe and Tamer Malki, who are at the forefront of the emerging ‘desert sound’ subgenre. Blending Middle Eastern heritage, Western upbringing and a nomadic lifestyle, Aman says they draw on diverse international influences to create a deep, delicate and emotive form of dance music. DJ Peggy Gou will bring her own style to the night—a style that can veer between pumping techno, playful house and more abstract compositions.

Carnevale del Futuro will take place from 10 p.m. at the docks of the Arsenale di Venezia. A shuttle will collect guests from 9:30 p.m. from Piazza San Marco and boat transfers will be provided from Aman Venice for Palazzo Dinner guests. All food and beverages on the evening will be included in the ticket price.
