Auberge Resorts Collection to Manage Collegio alla Querce

Leeu Collection has appointed Auberge Resorts Collection to manage Collegio alla Querce, Auberge Resorts Collection in Florence, Italy. Set to debut in 2023, the resort will stretch across gardens on a hill on the north side of Florence’s historic city center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located just three miles from the Duomo di Firenze at the gateway to Tuscany, the hotel will offer travelers a window into Italian culture with proximity to galleries, museums, architectural masterpieces, Florentine cuisine and wineries.

A former cultural institution and boarding school turned luxury hotel, Collegio alla Querce, Auberge Resorts Collection will encompass three adjacent 16th-century buildings, including a chapel and theater. Prior to opening, it will udnergo an extensive renovation; guests can expect a "rarefied" art collection, distinct architecture and manicured gardens. Surrounded by soaring oak trees, a nod to Collegio alla Querce’s name ("College at the Oaks"), the resort’s grounds will include expansive lawns and five levels of terraced Baroque gardens.

Dining options will comprise a signature "destination" restaurant, a glass-enclosed garden room for daytime dining, a bar and cigar lounge, and an outdoor pool bar. The property will also have an on-site enoteca for wine tastings. Good to know: The signature restaurant will offer tastings, private dinners and cooking classes. There will also be a fitness center and a spa with four treatment rooms, each with its own sauna and steam room.

Collegio alla Querce, Auberge Resorts Collection will be the brand’s second property in Europe, joining Grace Hotel, Auberge Resorts Collection in Santorini, Greece.
