Banyan Tree Holdings, Ltd. has appointed Mr. Abid Butt as the new CEO of Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts. He has served as Area General Manager for the Banyan Tree Phuket, and was appointed first Vice President of Operations from 2000 – 2002, where he oversaw operations and branding for existing hotels and new properties. Most recently, Butt served as Vice President for Asset Management of Host Hotels & Resorts in the United States, where he was responsible a collection of 15 luxury hotels.
