Colin Field, the bartender at the Ritz Paris, is a wanted man. Since the closure of the palace hotel on Place Vendome (we’re giddy with excitement about the renovation), Field has been spotted on Air France flights shaking up cocktails for First and Business Class passengers with the “Hemingway Bar in the Sky.” And in April, he’ll move the legendary bar across the Channel to the Connaught in London, for a week-long cocktail celebration.
Field will team up with The Connaught’s head barman Agostino Perrone to create a drinks menu featuring both traditional tipples (like what you’d find at the Ritz Paris), and innovative new drinks. Mark your calendars for April 7-13, 2014. The Telegraph describes The Connaught Bar “as one of the capital’s best high-end drinking dens,” named the “best cocktail bar in the world” by “both Salvatore Calabrese, known as “the maestro” of cocktails, and Erik Lorincz.” With Colin Field in the house, it’ll be an even bigger draw.
