Belize Private Island Cayo Espanto to Reopen August 15

Cayo Espanto has announced that the resort will begin welcoming back guests on August 15, aligning with Belize reopening the Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport. The private island resort has resumed taking reservations for August and beyond.

Personalized dining delivered straight to each guest, an exclusive pool and dock included in each of the island’s seven accommodations and complete seclusion are just some of what Cayo Espanto offers guests. In addition, concierge services extend to assisting throughout the guest journey to the island, including a private 15-minute boat ride from San Pedro, Belize directly to each visitor’s own secluded villa.

Guests and groups who prefer to have their choice of all seven villas on the island throughout their stay can choose to book a full island buyout.

The Cayo Espanto private island is located in the waters of the Western Caribbean, three miles off coast of San Pedro, Belize. Each of the resort’s accommodations, which includes one over-water bungalow, includes such services as a private butler and personal chef. Guests can enjoy fly fishing right outside their door or opt for scuba diving or snorkeling excursions at the second largest barrier reef in the world (the Belize Barrier Reef). As it’s home to a helipad and private yacht, travelers of Cayo Espanto can choose to explore all that Belize has to offer via unique vantage points from land, sea and air transportation.

David Benzaquen serves as the resort’s general manager.
