Bocas Bali in Panama Joins Nayara Resorts

Nayara Resorts has expanded its reach into Panama with the addition of Bocas Bali to its portfolio. Originally opened in 2021, the all-inclusive, adults-only Bocas Bali property has 16 over-water villas on a private island in the Bocas del Toro area, off the Caribbean coast. Fringed by approximately three miles of coral reefs, the property is known for its fully solar-powered, off-the-grid accommodations and its commitment to protecting the coral reefs and mangroves.

The 16 over-water villas enable guests to snorkel, paddle-board or kayak directly from their rooms. Some villas offer glass floor panels for viewing underwater marine life, while others have saltwater pools and steps leading to the sea. In fall 2022, the property will unveil its first Treehouse. There are plans to add several more later this year and the next, with some "floating" 40 feet above ground.

The Balinese-inspired Elephant House restaurant sits on stilts over the Caribbean Sea; and the poolside Coral Café offers an al fresco setting for a casual breakfast, lunch or snacks. Both restaurant bars serve handcrafted cocktails; The Tipsy Bar on Kupu-Kupu Beach is ideal for sipping on a tropical cocktail.

Activities include snorkeling, paddle boarding, scuba diving, fishing, kayaking through the mangroves and spotting dolphins in the bay. Off property, guests can take a seaplane to Isla Escudo de Veraguas, a remote island known for its three-toed pygmy sloths. Other excursions include visiting indigenous chocolate farms and a visit to Monkey Island.

Bocas Bali uses solar energy, purified rainwater and an eco-friendly wastewater treatment system engineered specifically for a mangrove island. Five environmental studies were conducted to ensure the property posed no risk to the habitat’s mangroves and crystal-clear waters. The over-water buildings were specifically placed to mitigate any interference with the surrounding coral reefs.

Rates are inclusive of unlimited dining at The Elephant House restaurant; breakfast, lunch and snacks at The Coral Café; villa fridges stocked with drinks and snacks; unlimited liquors and wines; paddle boarding; kayaking; snorkeling gear; gym access; a boat transfer from Bocas Town to Bocas Bali (and back); free Wi-Fi in rooms and common areas; concierge service; and room service.
