Casa Velas in Puerto Vallarta has begun offering seasonal craft beer tastings held weekly in the botanical gardens. The adults-only boutique resort will be serving four artisanal beers paired with various plates, including apple salad, crisp ceviche, Pescado Zarandeado, and Mexican chocolate.
On the craft beer menu guests will find:
- Cerveza Cayaco, a light beer with notes of freshly baked bread and rice accompanied by floral and citrus aromas
- Cerveza Colimita, a medium-bodied tropical representation of a German Lager with lighter bitter notes and floral aromas hitting the palate
- Cerveza Páramo, an American-style pale ale made with three types of malt, offering hints of tropical, citrus and passion fruit
- Cerveza Ticús, a tropical coffee porter with light and complex toasted coffee bean flavors
Guests will also be provided with an artisanal beer-rating card to evaluate each beer based on taste profile and preference. There will also be a selection of mixed drinks made with chamomile, lavender, guava, soursop, jackfruit, myrtle, passion fruit, mango, coconut, basil, rosemary and other herbs and fruit from the botanical garden.
All-inclusive rates start at $273 per person per night based on double occupancy. Accommodations, meals, premium liquor and wine, 24-hour suite service, taxes, gratuities, and more are included.
Casa Velas is located on the greens of Marina Vallarta's 18-hole golf course and has 80 suites, some with private pools and Jacuzzis. The hotel has a private ocean club and is just minutes from the beach, Puerto Vallarta Airport, and the downtown area, art galleries and "El Malecon" (the boardwalk). A novel service is a handbag bar where guests can enjoy use of a "loaner" designer handbag at no extra charge.
