Opening in 2022, Conrad Chia Laguna Sardinia will be the first Conrad property in Italy and is currently going through an extensive renovation. Upon completion, the resort will have 107 guestrooms, all with private gardens or terraces, and most with ocean views.
As the brand’s debut hotel in Italy, Conrad Chia Laguna Sardinia will be the latest addition to a growing collection of nearly 40 Conrad Hotels & Resorts around the world, including existing hotels in the Algarve, Abu Dhabi, London, Washington, D.C. and Singapore. Conrad Chia Laguna Sardinia will be a family-friendly resort inspired by Sardinia’s local history and culture. The hotel renovation will see the update and enhancement all guestrooms, common areas, restaurants and bars.
There will be two restaurants, a lounge and a poolside bar. La Terrazza restaurant will have outdoor terrace seating with views of Chia Laguna and will offer a daily breakfast buffet with a hot bar, local artisan products, an organic corner and local Sardinian specialties. Sa Mesa, meaning “the table” in the local Sardinian dialect, will be the hotel’s signature restaurant offering authentic Sardinian cuisine and an extensive selection of local wines from small local producers in an informal trattoria-style setting. Bar Bollicine will serve as the hotel’s all-day bar and lounge, where guests can enjoy an extensive collection of Champagnes and Proseccos, as well as cocktails. The bar will also serve afternoon tea, light dishes and snacks throughout the day and will be home to live entertainment in the evening.
Conrad Chia Laguna Sardinia
In addition to the beach, guests can relax by the hotel’s pool. At the Bioaquam poolside bar, guests can enjoy light and healthy fare, freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices or summer cocktails. The hotel’s vast Conrad Spa will span over 10,700 square feet and will include six treatment rooms, a spa bar, a yoga studio and gym.
Baia di Chia Resort Sardinia, Curio Collection by Hilton
Beyond the new Conrad, Hilton will also be opening Baia di Chia Resort Sardinia, part of the Curio Collection, this summer. The property is an eco-conscious seafront hotel, surrounded by beaches and wildlife, while its elevated waterfront location provides panoramic sea views as well as views of the entire Chia lagoon.
The hotel has 77 modern guest rooms, each equipped with a private terrace. Guests will have the choice of three restaurants, including a specialty restaurant offering Southeast Asian, Thai and Sushi fusion cuisine. Guests will also be able to relax and unwind at the hotel’s two bars, which offer both indoor seating and outdoor terraces.
The hotel has a large outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts and an outdoor kids club that will have activities suitable for children of all ages.
Baia di Chia Resort Sardinia Suset Bar
The hotels will offer a range of entertainment options and custom experiences, including themed dinners and special tastings; a range of spa treatments and wellness packages; kid’s club activities, water sports and other outdoor activities, such as private or group excursions to nearby towns, archaeological and natural sites and boat excursions in partnership with local guides.
Good to know: Guests staying at the hotels will have access to a private beach club located at the Monte Cogoni beach (walking distance from Baia di Chia Resort Sardinia). Guests staying at the Conrad will also receive complimentary beach shuttle service and private VIP areas on the beach.
Both hotels are a 45-minute drive from Cagliari International Airport or accessible via the Cagliari Ferry Port.
