To celebrate Valletta being named the European Capital of Culture 2018, the Corinthia Palace Hotel in Malta is offering a vacation package that can be booked year-long, from January 1 to December 31, 2018.
The 2018 Capital of Culture celebrations in Valletta will include the International Baroque Festival and Opening Week celebrations in January, carnival in February, a film festival in June, arts festival in July and the Closing Spectacle in December. This year, the festivities will be organized by the newly established Valletta 2018 Foundation.
The package includes a welcome drink upon arrival, a surprise gift in the room and use of the hotel’s spa facilities, which include a fitness center, indoor pool, outdoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam garden. The Corinthia Palace Hotel will also provide guests with a shuttle service to make it easier to get to the festivities.
The Malta Experience, a 45-minute show that chronicles the Maltese islands’ 7,000-year history, is also part of the new package; tickets for this show, and a Sacra Infermeria tour, are included.
The 2018 vacation package will cost approximately $140 per room per night, including a buffet breakfast.
Guests staying at the Corinthia Palace Hotel will be right in the heart of the island between Valletta, the island’s capital, and the former capital of Mdina. The hotel’s main dining venue, housed in a century-old villa, has several restaurants including Rickshaw, offering Asian-fusion cuisine, and the al Fresco Summer Kitchen.
