Dorchester Collection: New Floral Cocktails, Ultimate Polo Package

Two Dorchester Collection properties have exciting offerings for guests this spring: The Dorchester, London and Coworth Park. The Dorchester, London is celebrating RHS Chelsea Flower Show with new floral cocktails and afternoon tea, while Coworth Park is debuting the Ultimate Polo Experience Package. 

The Dorchester, London

The Dorchester, London is returning to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, offering an afternoon tea in a bespoke pop-up restaurant on-site called The Drawing Room. New for 2017 is the addition of a bar within The Drawing Room modeled after The Promenade Bar at the Dorchester, led by bar manager Giuliano Morandin, who will be serving new floral cocktails, spirits and champagne. 

In The Drawing Room, The Dorchester Afternoon Tea will be served to ticket holding guests complete with four new pastries, specially created for the show by The Dorchester’s head pastry chef, David Girard. The new pastries include special touches like hand-crystalized flowers from Wales and flavors such as Tanzanian dark chocolate and Marsala cream. The Dorchester Afternoon Tea also includes finger sandwiches, warm scones and handmade preserves along with a glass of champagne. 

The new bar, located in the pop-up Drawing Room, will serve a curated cocktail menu of four new floral cocktails. . The menu includes the celebrated Her Majesty’s Cup, made with The Dorchester’s exclusive Old Tom Gin and served from a bespoke and classic English teapot. Inclusive with Her Majesty’s Cup will be a ‘bar bite’ made up of one dressed scone, three finger sandwiches and two floral inspired pastries.  Other cocktails include The Dorchester’s Classic Bellini, Dorchester 75 and Purple Rain made with champagne infused with lavender and violet.  The floral cocktails start at $20 per glass and Her Majesty’s Cup is priced at $32 per person; advance booking not required.

Coworth Park, Ascot

Coworth Park, Ascot is offering a new package where guests can participate or learn to play and watch world-class polo events. In celebration of the 2017 polo season (now through October), the hotel has created the Ultimate Polo Experience package to introduce guests to every aspect of polo, from theory to practice. 

The package includes:

  • Guards Polo Academy at Coworth Park’s ‘Half Day Polo Masterclass’ for two

  • A personal introduction to the world of polo over cocktails with an England team member

Package rates start at approximately $1,307 for stays now through October 31, 2017; subject to availability, blackout dates apply. Rates are based on double occupancy, per room, per night.
