Forbes Travel Guide Announces Five-Star Ratings

Forbes Travel Guide has announced its latest Five-Star Ratings for hotels and restaurants, recognizing some favorite brands and properties.

Just five years after a its downtown debut, Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago (pictured) and its restaurant, Sixteen, have both been awarded Forbes Travel Guide’s highest distinction, the Five-Star rating. In earning “double honors,” the Chicago hotel joins its sister, Trump International Hotel Tower New York, which once again earned Five-Star ratings for its hotel and Jean Georges restaurant.

“The double Five-Star rating is a great honor both for our Chicago hotel and for the entire brand,” said Donald J. Trump, chairman and president of The Trump Organization. “To have Trump Chicago follow in the footsteps of our New York flagship, and so soon after opening, speaks volumes about the relevance of the Trump Hotel Collection brand promise and the commitment of our hotel teams to deliver on it.”

The Resort at Pelican Hill, which opened in late 2008, and The Spa at Pelican Hill have both achieved one of the highest global hospitality ratings by earning Five Stars in the 55th annual ratings by Forbes Travel Guide. Located along the coast of Newport Beach in Southern California, Pelican Hill is the first and only Five-Star property in Newport Beach, among just 76 worldwide to earn the top Forbes Five Star Award this year.

The Spa at Pelican Hill earned its fourth consecutive Five Star Award this year and maintains its distinction as the only Five-Star spa in Newport Beach, as well as one of just 35 worldwide to earn the top Forbes Travel Guide rating this year.

“The Forbes Travel Guide annual Star Awards represent the best in class in luxury hospitality. Travelers seeking exceptional experiences rely on our ratings to guide them to the world’s finest hotels, restaurants and spas,” said Michael Cascone, President and COO of Forbes Travel Guide. “By continuing to evolve our ratings categories, we are establishing a global benchmark for the highest standards in hospitality service and facilities.”
