Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris, Unveils Four Renovated Suites

Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris, has unveiled four renovated suites designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon: two Duplex Suites City View suites, the Parisian Suite and the Grand Premiere Suite 500. The renovated suites offer modern conveniences including home connectivity, lighting and entertainment systems to provide guests with an immersive experience. Each suite also has French parquet floors, artworks and Lalique wall sconces. Equipped with balconies or terraces, the suites offer views of the Eiffel Tower and other landmarks.

With their two floors, large living areas and private terraces and balconies with views of the Eiffel Tower, the two Duplex Suites City View exude the feel of residential Parisian apartments. Spread over 1,400 square feet, both are adorned with rich textiles and blend classical elements of Louis XVI with a modern design.

Upon entering Duplex Suite 814, guests will notice the living room and its centerpiece—a white and gold screen embellished with oriental motifs. The screen pays homage to the ornamentation found in 18th-century Parisian bourgeois homes, when Chinese works of art and decorative items with exotic landscapes were much in vogue. An oak staircase with a French Art Deco ironwork balustrade leads up to the next floor; there, the bedroom is adorned with a marble fireplace and the bathroom sports a blend of wood, marble and gold fixtures.

Embellished with muted greens colors, soft greys and gilded accents, Duplex Suite 815 offers views of Paris’ skyline with its two large terraces. A wooden staircase lined with 19th-century paintings leads to the upper floor living space, where walls are embellished with toile de Jouy fabrics, a signature of the George V. On this floor is the bedroom with a balcony overlooking the Marble Courtyard. Pretty cool: The marble bathroom offers views of the Eiffel Tower from its freestanding bathtub. The suite also has a separate bedroom looking out towards the Eiffel Tower, complete with its own bathroom.

The hotel completes its collection of Signature Suites with the new Parisian Suite. It has a private kitchen, dining room with marble fireplace, a bathroom with crystal Lalique parakeet sculptures designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon, and a large terrace. Spread over 1,500 square feet, the Parisian Suite has a connecting room, making it a good choice for families and groups of friends.

The foyer of the Grand Premiere Suite 500 showcases a tapestry in muted mauve tones. This suite opens up to a living room, dining area, a Louis XVI-style marble and wood dresser, and French parquet flooring. The bedroom walls are adorned with toile de Jouy and 19th-century paintings ensconced in golden frames.
