Four Seasons Hotel Seattle Unveils Yacht Cruises

Four Seasons Hotel Seattle is inviting guests to join local Captain Kevin Lohman aboard a private luxury yacht. Seattle is surrounded by water bodies such as Lake Washington, Lake Union and Elliott Bay, where the skyline outlines landmarks such as the Space Needle, Gas Works Park and the University of Washington.

Guests can escape for four hours or more on an 85-foot motor yacht and enjoy a customized experience for groups of up to 12 persons. The culinary team at the hotel provides a range of food and beverage packages to fuel the day on the water.

The day begins at the Center for Wooden Boats near the Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI) at Lake Union Park where guests begin their journey. Experiences include a summer splash party on Lake Washington and watching the city skyline from Lake Union. Overnight trips to the local or San Juan Islands for whale watching, crabbing and beach combing are also available.

The yacht experience is available year-round for hotel guests. In the spring, guests can sail through the Ballard Locks to see the snowcapped Olympic Mountains, downtown Seattle and stadiums. In the summer, they can enjoy Seattle and its environs with the option to use paddle boards, kayaks and water toys. In August, they can enjoy “Seafair Weekend” takes place on the water and the Blue Angels take to the skies.

The fall months are a great time to explore the islands without the crowds, or enjoy a short ride. Guests can also gather with friends for “Sailgate” parties during the University of Washington Husky football games.

In winter, the “Christmas Ship Festival” is held from November 25 through December 23. Guests can celebrate the local tradition on a yacht parade, following the Christmas ship and carolers.

The hotel’s concierge team tailors each guest’s stay of Seattle and its surroundings. Other exclusive trips include a visit to Space Needle or Chihuly Garden and Glass before it opens to the public; and a behind-the-scenes look at Modernist Cuisine Kitchen, which is not open to the public.
