Four Seasons Resort Hualalai has announced the completion of its property-wide renovation program totaling $100 million, with the unveiling of three villas—Hawaii Loa Presidential Villa, Makaloa Villa and Ho’onanea Villa. These villas are part of the resort’s signature Specialty Suite program, comprising 12 of its bespoke accommodations with exclusive benefits and inclusions.
The only Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond Resort on the Island of Hawaii, Four Seasons Resort Hualalai's multimillion-dollar enhancement project marks the resort’s largest renovation since its launch 25 years ago. The transformation includes an enhancement of all guestrooms and suites; a new, elevated infinity pool and lounge deck at King’s Pond, Hualalai’s 1.8-million-gallon swimmable aquarium; the Kumu Kai Marine Center; a new gourmet poolside menu from Executive Chef Richard Polhemus; a transformation of the signature Hualalai Golf Course; and the launch of the Hualalai Golf Hale, a 3,000-square-foot instruction, practice and entertainment facility. The project was helmed by the San Francisco-based design firm BAMO.
Hawaii Loa Lanai
According to Charlie Parker, the general manager, it’s the resort’s three largest villas that have received the most dramatic update. He added that the distinctly designed villas would "serve as a home-away-from-home not only for guests, but also their extended families and friends."
Each villa has been expanded to add a second level, indoor and outdoor living spaces, and private plunge pools. Unique design elements have been highlighted throughout the spacious accommodations, with the incorporation of local artwork, slate floors, glass pocket doors opening the living area to the outdoors and natural hardwood trim.
Guests staying at the resort’s Specialty Suites will receive a range of exclusive services and amenities. Each suite offers a bespoke selection of activities and inclusions, curated and derived from their characteristics and location. Most notably, Specialty Suite guests receive a dedicated Suite Concierge team member who manages every detail and personalization for their stay, from booking through departure.
