Hotel de Crillon Launches New Terrace on Place de la Concorde

The largest square in Paris, the Place de la Concorde links the Avenue des Champs-Élysées and the Jardin des Tuileries, the ancient Egyptian obelisk soaring above the monumental fountain in the middle. It’s in this privileged setting that the Hotel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel recently opened the Concorde Terrace. The palace hotel’s Bar Les Ambassadeurs is already renowned as a popular watering hole for the city’s glitterati, a decadent hideout draped in marble and historic frescos. And, now, there’s an outside extension overlooking the Place de la Concorde. Open daily from 3 p.m. to midnight, the terrace is situated under the columns at the hotel’s entrance. Order one of Eric Sablonière’s signature cocktails (like the Pretty in Pink, named for the film) and gaze out at the city’s skyline.

In other news, the Hotel de Crillon recently refreshed Sense, A Rosewood Spa, adding a new wellness area, complete with a large hammam, infrared sauna, and experience shower. The new relaxation room is as pretty as it is revitalizing—thanks to the dramatic wall made entirely of detoxifying pink salt. Simultaneously, the Crillon announced a new brand partnership with Sisley, the renowned French cosmetics brand. Sisley designed a two-hour treatment exclusively for the subterranean spa called the Sisley Signature, billed as an “experience in three acts.” It starts with an aromatic plant-based "Phyto-Aromatic" treatment, and includes make-up and an “olfactory escape.” Note that the Hotel de Crillon is also known for its men’s grooming, including barber services by La Barbière de Paris.
