Two Four Seasons Resorts to Put on Your Radar

The Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara has reopened after a five-month closure caused by the California mudslides. All facilities are available (and “better than ever,” we’re told).

A positive is that The Anacapa Suite has been expanded from 900 to 2,500 square feet. The standout accommodation (which will be available starting in July) received a bigger deck with a fire pit and direct ocean views, as well as its own plunge pool. Guests receive access to the private Coral Casino Beach and Cabana Club. The Anacapa Suite joins the Ty Warner Bungalow (used as the private residence of the former owner) as one of the top accommodations on property.

This summer, the resort’s Summer Tasting Series returns with a lineup of the top local purveyors, distillers and winemakers. Additionally, new culinary and spa offerings are being introduced. Connect with Laura Rebello ([email protected]) or Marissa Alvarado ([email protected]), travel industry sales managers for the west coast and east coast, respectively.

Four Seasons Resort Seychelles has 67 treehouse villas.

The Biltmore joins the Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches Island in making a recent debut. At the resort, which received one of our Awards of Excellence, we hear the Sunset Beach Suites are fantastic. Great for couples or families with one or two young children, these rooms have a central beach location, their own plunge pool and an adjoining day pavilion.

Other accommodations at the resort (which is the only one on the island), include one- and two-bedroom suites and a selection of villas with private plunge pools. The top option is the seven-bedroom Presidential Villa, which accommodates 16. It has an open kitchen, butler service, an outdoor barbecue pit and bathrooms with freestanding stone bathtubs. Popular activities include cycling on nature trails, scuba diving, nature walks led by a member of the Island Conservation Society and excursions to the Tortoise Sanctuary and Discovery Center. For those looking to soak in the sun and relax, opt for a chef-prepared private picnic. Advisors may contact Oliver Jeanmartin ([email protected]), director of sales.
