Luxury travel innovator Ombi has introduced floating bungalows for two in Key Largo, Florida Keys. The Ombi floating bungalows offer seclusion atop the gentle waves of Key Largo’s Tarpon Basin. Comprising three new bungalows, these hideaways offer complete comfort and panoramic views of the ocean.
The Ombi experience begins with a private boat transfer across the Keys, steered by the guests’ personal captain. Each of the bungalows has floor-to-ceiling windows, a king-size bed, walk-in shower, kitchenette, blackout curtains, Adirondack chairs, a hammock and foldaway table, plus air conditioning and solar-powered lighting. Bluetooth connectivity, a flat-screen TV and high-speed Wi-Fi are also available. Guests can also choose from a selection of board games for off-screen evening entertainment.
Outside the bungalow, a kayak, paddleboard, snorkel masks and fins await, allowing guests to explore the ocean right from their doorstep. The waters are home to schools of tropical fish, while bottlenose dolphins make a regular appearance alongside nurse sharks and eagle rays, with endangered species including loggerhead turtles, green turtles and the native West Indian manatee also nearby. Preserving these marine ecosystems and their inhabitants is a central focus for Ombi: the bungalows have been constructed with low-impact materials and waste-reduction systems to ensure eco-adventures in the area continue for generations to come.
Guests can end the evening with a gourmet dinner for two, delivered by their private captain and served at the chosen hour. A hot breakfast and pastry selection is also available and arrives fresh each morning. Should guests desire to prepare their own meals throughout the day, the bungalows come with a fridge and microwave too.
