Kerzner International Holdings Limited has launched Rare Finds, a collection of resorts showcasing their unique identity, location, talent and expertise. Under this new vertical, Kerzner has assumed management of the desert resort Bab Al Shams owned by Meydan. The resort, which will close for an extensive refurbishment between May 2022 and early 2023, will reopen as part of Rare Finds.
Destination experiences and entertainment will be an integral part of the revamped resort. Guests can return to upgraded culinary experiences such as modern Arabic cuisine, a rooftop lounge and alfresco dining. The infinity pool, popular among guests, will also return with its sun-loungers and private cabanas. The Desert Spa will offer both traditional and contemporary treatments. It will feature couples’ treatment rooms with plunge pool, sauna and steam rooms, an indoor courtyard pool and a relaxation area. Along with the resort’s fitness facilities, the Body & Soul Centre, the spa will develop holistic programs for guests.
Bab Al Shams will offer a range of curated itineraries and outdoor activities, including desert equestrian sports, stargazing with in-house astronomers, sandboarding, archery, desert safaris and hot air balloon rides, among others. The family-friendly resort will offer multiple break-out spaces and activities, including a game room and family entertainment venue. Bab Al Shams will also feature indoor and outdoor event spaces that can accommodate up to 500 guests.
Kerzner is the owner of Atlantis Resorts and Residences and One&Only Resorts worldwide. Joining people together through authentic experiences, Rare Finds is a collection of hotels and resorts that bring the essence of a destination to the forefront. Kerzner will continue to expand the Rare Finds portfolio over the coming years.
