The Langham, Jakarta opened its doors on September 9 in Indonesia’s capital city, becoming the brand's first property in Southeast Asia. The 65-story hotel is located within the new complex of District 8 at Sudirman Central Business District in close proximity to the city’s financial, cultural and entertainment centers.
The hotel has 223 guestrooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, in-room entertainment complemented by smart technology, marble bathrooms with rain showers and free-standing soaking bathtubs. Its 3,600-square-foot Presidential Suite has a living room and dining area decorated with contemporary furnishings. Intricate wall panels, sculptures, paintings and artifacts adorn each room. Other highlights of the suite include an Italian-marble bathroom with an oversized bathtub, twin vanities and separate spa bath, bespoke amenities, and an outdoor terrace. There is an in-suite gym with a trainer on demand for private sessions. Guests can also avail of the 24-hour on-call butler service.
The Langham Club lounge at the hotel’s 59th floor offers complimentary food and beverage presentations, and will include a writer’s corner, a reading library and private arrival and departure facilities with dedicated butlers.
The Langham, Jakarta is also home to celebrity restaurant partnerships that include Tom’s by Tom Aikens. T’ang Court, inspired by its Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant namesake at The Langham, Hong Kong, will make its debut in Southeast Asia, while “Iron Chef” Masaharu Morimoto from New York City will present Japanese cuisine at Morimoto. Also at the hotel, The Langham’s afternoon tea legacy continues at Alice. The Artesian (from The Langham, London) has also made its debut on the rooftop of The Langham, Jakarta.
The Chuan Spa will offer treatments inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine philosophies. The 7,211-square-foot spa will offer private treatment rooms, as well as a fully equipped gym and an indoor infinity pool.
The property also offers more than 22,000 square feet of flexible space for events, including a 7,400-square-foot ballroom and an outdoor garden. There's an additional 11 meeting rooms to accommodate gatherings of different capacities.
