Making its debut this summer on Austin’s Town Lake will be the LINE Austin (which recently rebranded from the LINE ATX). It’s located in a fully renovated and restored mid-century building with 428 rooms, including 108 suites, three restaurants, four bars and an outdoor infinity pool on the edge of the lake.
The guestrooms all have custom furniture inspired by natural materials and the landscape of central Texas, local artwork, and floor-to-ceiling windows from which guests will have views of downtown or the lake. Additionally, for guests looking to learn more about the destination, rooms will have libraries with vintage books on Texas. The top option is the 1,475-square-foot, apartment-style RWB Suite. It has an entertaining kitchen and bar, a pool table, projection screen and a guest bathroom off the living room.
Leading the culinary options will be Top Chef season 10 winner Kristen Kish, who will be bringing her French and Italian background to the menu of the hotel's signature restaurant, Arlo Grey. Damien Brockway, former executive chef of Austin’s Counter 3.Five.VII, will helm the property’s rooftop lounge P6, which will have views over Town Lake. Los Angeles-based coffee shop Alfred will be opened in the lobby. At the pool, guests can order craft cocktails and simple poolside fare.
Good to know: Like most of Austin, the hotel is pet-friendly (they can even stay for free—no weight limit). There are numerous dog parks and pet-friendly restaurants to check out in town—just ask at the front desk.
The LINE Austin will also have complimentary Wi-Fi, 24-hour room service, and access to Town Lake, hiking and biking trails and downtown Austin.
