The Lodge at Blue Sky, Auberge Resorts Collection Appoints Trio of Execs

Opening May 2019 and located on 3,500 acres of wilderness just outside of Park City, UT, The Lodge at Blue Sky, Auberge Resorts Collection has announced the appointments of Joe Ogdie as general manager, Jessica Cook as director of sales and marketing and Nathan Decker as area director of leisure sales. 

In his new role, Ogdie will oversee the daily operations of the resort, which includes 46 rooms and suites, a spa, signature restaurant, High West Distillery and such outdoor activities as heli-skiing, horseback riding and kids’ programs.

Prior to accepting this new role at The Lodge at Blue Sky, he served as interim general manager at Calistoga Ranch and as director of operations and director of food and beverage at Solage (both Auberge Resorts). Ogdie began his career with Four Seasons, working across properties in Hawaii, New York and Florida.

Cook, the resort’s new director of sales and marketing, brings more than 15 years of luxury hospitality experience and extensive knowledge of outdoor and adventure travel to her new role. She joins The Lodge at Blue Sky with a background marketing and selling luxury experiential travel, beginning her career in sales and private trip planning for Butterfield & Robinson in Toronto, followed by both sales and marketing positions for a variety of properties, including The Ranch at Rock Creek in Philipsburg, MT, and Aman Resorts’ Amangiri and Amangani in Canyon Point, UT, and Jackson Hole, WY.

An avid outdoorsman with experiential travel sales expertise, Decker joins Auberge as the area director of leisure sales. His most recent role was as director of sales for The Resort at Paws Up in Montana. He has also held the position of director of sales for Starwood Resorts of Maui and then at The St. Regis Princeville in Kauai. 

The Lodge at Blue Sky is under development in the Wasatch Mountains outside of Park City and will open in May 2019. Situated on 3,500 secluded acres, the resort will encompass 46 contemporary guest rooms and suites. Amenities will include a spa, a signature restaurant, High West Distillery and customized outdoor adventures. An exclusive concierge lounge in nearby Park City will cater to Alpine skiers’ every need. The resort will also feature an equestrian program enhanced by non-profit Saving Gracie Horse Rescue and a variety of meeting and event venues.
