LTA Happy Hour: Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel

The City of Stars

In honor of the Oscars, the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel and Loews Hollywood have introduced the City of Stars cocktail.

Specifically inspired by the film La La Land, the cocktail is .5 oz lavender syrup, 1.5 oz Botanist gin, .5 oz lemon juice, and topped off with Prosecco in a flute glass with an orchid garnish. The drink is perfect for sipping and enjoying the California sun – and even better to enjoy while watching the Oscars.

The drink will only be available through February 26 at the hotels, however each the bars – BarBelle Santa Monica and Fireside Lounge (Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel), and H2 Kitchen & Bar (Loews Hollywood) – have a selection of other signature cocktails.

At BarBelle Santa Monica, guests can enjoy cocktails in this Southern California lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the pool and ocean. Bartenders serve up, in addition to an impressive selection of wines and spirits, nine different signature drinks, ranging from Fire and Lime, “a spicy a tart” spin on a margarita with Resposado tequila, orange liqueur, and a mix of apple, lemon, and ginger juice to The Sit Down, made with Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Campari, Punt e Mes, Averna, and barrel-aged bitters.

At H2 Kitchen & Bar, guests can sip on The Purple Rose of Mojito, with Bacardi Limon, lime juice, agave, and muddled blackberry and basil or Lucy’s Belvedere Ball, a refreshing combination of Wild Berry Belvedere Vodka, Stellina di Notte Prosecco, pomegranate and lemon juice, and agave. The granite bar top, leather chairs, and Swarovski chandelier makes H2 well suited for both work and happy hour.
