Canyon Ranch has named Bernard Agache to the position of managing director of Canyon Ranch Hotel & Spa in Miami Beach. The appointment was made by Peter Smith, chief operating officer of Canyon Ranch, and is effective immediately. Agache will oversee all aspects of operation and management of the all-suite beachfront property.

An accomplished hospitality executive, Agache brings more than 30 years of industry experience to his new post. He joins Canyon Ranch from Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd, where, as senior vice president, membership, he oversaw the organization’s overall strategic direction and the operations of membership with direct responsibility for membership services, development, quality compliance, contract administration and Leading Solutions, while fostering collaborative and fruitful relationship with Leading Hotels' hoteliers.
Prior to Leading Hotels, he was senior vice president of operations for Westmont Hospitality in Toronto, working extensively with various global brands and independent hotels in an owner/operator environment and providing skilled management and an owner’s perspective to third-party managed properties. Previously, Agache was a senior leader of Westin Hotels & Resorts, where he established a record of extraordinary operating achievements and recognition for managing the “Most Innovative” and the “Most Profitable” business operations within the brand.
