Mohonk Mountain House Appoints Margaret Lora as Spa Director

Hudson Valley’s Mohonk Mountain House has announced the appointment of Margaret Lora as spa director. In her new role, Lora will supervise daily operations at the 30,000-square-foot spa, as well as developing new treatments and offerings that encompass current and emerging wellness trends. Lora will also manage the spa’s range of retail offerings and create an overall experience that is reminiscent of Mohonk’s heritage of environment stewardship.

Lora has more than 15 years of experience managing spas across the country. She has utilized her creativity and business acumen to drive customer engagement, maximize revenues and increase guest satisfaction. Prior to joining Mohonk, Lora was national director of operations and sales at spa brand Exhale for nine years. Her accomplishments there include leading the pivot to digital platforms during the COVID-19 pandemic and helping the brand earn over 75 awards.

The spa wing at Mohonk Mountain House has 16 treatment rooms, a solarium, an outdoor heated mineral pool, indoor heated pool, fitness center, and yoga/motion studio. Fun fact: The eco-friendly spa is heated and cooled by a geo-thermal system and features a “green roof.”
