Nayara Tented Camp to Open in Costa Rica in 2019

Come 2019, Central America will get a new luxury tented camp—similar to the nature-immersed tented camps in Africa and Asia. Nayara Resorts is already behind two talked-about properties in Costa Rica: Nayara Resort, Spa & Gardens, a 25-bungalow property overlooking the Arenal Volcano, surrounded by lush rainforest; and Nayara Springs, an adults-only property at the base of the Arenal Volcano, which offers cool experiences like picking your own coffee beans and visits to Nayara’s sloth sanctuary. Additional activities include bike riding, zip lining, white water rafting and hiking. (Tip: The properties are connected by footbridge.)

Guests of the new Nayara Tented Camp will be able to enjoy the facilities of the other two Nayara resorts. Open year-round, the tented camp will allow guests to be close to nature in an area renowned for biodiversity (including 500 different species of birds, such as toucans, macaws and hummingbirds). The Arenal Volcano National Park is a sought-after jungle location in Costa Rica—and Nayara offers a luxurious way to experience it.

Designed by Luxury Frontiers, Nayara Tented Camp will be built in an eco-friendly way with a light footprint; think fabric roofs, canvas walls and sustainable building materials. Initially, there will be 18 tented villas equipped with ensuite bathrooms, tubs, viewing decks and outdoor showers. A highlight will be the private plunge pools filled with water from the nearby hot springs. Note that the camp will be family friendly, ensuring interconnecting tents for families traveling with children. Stay tuned for more details!
