New York's Restaurant Week Kicks Off Today

New York City’s Restaurant Week (which actually runs for more than one week, and takes place several times per year) is kicking off today, January 16, 2012, and running through February 10 with three course meals priced at $24.07 for lunch and $35 for dinner at more than 300 restaurants.

Participating establishments include such iconic eateries as the 21 Club, Cafe Boulud, The Carlyle Restaurant, the Russian Tea Room, Carnegie Deli, Le Cirque and Delmonico’s, while modern restaurants like Spice Market, Maze by Gordon Ramsa and Nobu are also involved.

Some tips from city website NewYorkology: Taxes, tips and beverages are not included in the prix-fixe package. Also, not all restaurants offer the deal at both lunch and dinner, so calling ahead to confirm is a good idea.
