Nobu Hospitality Expands its Footprint in Asia Pacific

Nobu Hospitality has announced plans for the first Nobu Hotel, Restaurant, and Residences in Danang, Vietnam. The hotel brand will collaborate with Viet Capital Real Estate (VCRE) and Phoenix Holdings for the project.

Danang is a beach city on the South Central Coast of Vietnam, flanked by the Pacific to the east and the Annamite Range to the west. Danang is known for its beaches and history as a French colonial port. Nearby attractions include the Imperial City of Hue, the old town of Hoi An and the My Son ruins.

Situated along Danang’s My Khe beachfront on Vo Nguyen Giap Street, Nobu will add a 43-story tower to the city’s skyline. The luxury beachfront urban resort will offer 200 guestrooms, including 18 suites, meeting and event spaces, and a wellness and fitness facility. Additionally, there will be 271 residential units offering one-, two- and three-bedroom configurations besides two penthouse units.

Situated below the hotel and residences, the Danang City Centre podium will offer retail experiences, a Chinese restaurant, a Vietnamese restaurant and an American steakhouse. The rooftop will feature a cocktail bar and lounge, offering views for sunset drinks and after-hours entertainment.

Trevor Horwell, CEO of Nobu Hospitality, said: “We are excited to further expand into the Asia Pacific region and bring Nobu to the Vietnam market, a rapidly growing tourist destination, with one of the most beautiful and desirable locations in Danang. Our partners at VCRE are passionate supporters of the Nobu brand and share our commitment in growing Nobu Hospitality in other destinations in Vietnam. We are confident that the Nobu brand will attract visitors both locally and from around the world to stay and become residents of Nobu Danang which will be crafted as dynamic urban resort.”
