We’ve been counting down the days and at long last, it’s here. Six Senses Krabey Island has officially opened in Cambodia, and what a debut it is. A 30-acre private island with 40 pool villas for the taking… Enticements to anticipate include the comprehensive Six Senses Spa inspired by the sacred Khmer Kbal Spean River, night sky observatory, jungle fitness circuit, Sunset Bar, and the open-air Cinema Paradiso. Not to mention the ice cream parlor scooping out 15 flavors daily as a free perk for guests. True to the Six Senses brand, sustainability is a big part of the resort, so you’ll find an organic farm and herb garden, green “living” roofs on the villas, and a water bottling plant with reusable glass bottles.
Access: Six Senses Krabey Island is situated three miles off Ream National Park on the Gulf of Thailand in southern Cambodia. The resort has a mainland reception (a 10-minute drive from Sihanouk International Airport), from where a dedicated speedboat delivers guests in a 15-minute crossing to the private island.
Take advantage of a special opening offer: Get a 20 percent discount and complimentary daily half board for stays from March 1 to April 15. The offer also includes a complimentary wellness screening at the Six Senses Spa with a minimum three-night stay and daily wellness scheduled activities.
As we previously reported, Six Senses was acquired by InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) for $300 million in February 2019, a deal which includes the management of 16 hotels and resorts, 37 spas and sister companies Evason and Raison d’Etre.
